“I paint things that are important to people. My work is my way of connecting to everything significant in our world, the feelings, the icons, the powers. And when people view it and experience these same things, that work becomes the conduit through which I connect with them.”
Seth Gordon is a self-taught artist, raised in the American Southwest and living in Scottsdale, Arizona.
Seth has worked with various art media since early childhood. His career development included phases of using his skills professionally in graphic arts and design drafting environments. He spent many years of exposure to various schools of thought and creative media, experimenting to form his unique style.
His contemporary realism has evolved to include archetypical symbolism, sacred geometry, mythological iconography, and psychedelic influences. His compositions are usually centered around iconic faces and human forms, creating an intimate experience for the viewer. These are rendered with a combination of classic realism and street-style effects, incorporated with a palette rich in metallics and iridescent pigments.
Today, Seth’s paintings grace the homes of collectors across the US and abroad, as well as being incorporated into the design of local businesses. Seth continues to make his own style of artwork in his Scottsdale, AZ studio and enjoys sharing it with the community at large.
